I was so impressed by what I found described as the Electric Model of the Universe (EMU) when I first came across it that I decided to write a book about it. I made this decision not for personal gain, but instead so that others like me could have the chance to understand the important theories and proposals contained in that model. In short, the theories underpinning the EMU are far more plausible and easier to understand than the theories that underpin the current mathematically driven, gravity-centric model of Newtonian mechanics that is referred to as the Standard Model of the Universe (SMU).

I came across the EMU in early 2010, and as a layman, having by then studied quite deeply the SMU's "popular science of the universe", I immediately wondered why I had previously not seen or heard anything about the alternative theories it described. As I delved further into the EMU's historical background and current status I also discovered "other information" - information that indicated all is not well in the world of astro-science research, and that things have not been healthy there for a very long time.

Being the seeker of truth and fairness that I try to be, and based on my past experience, education, and natural interests, what emerged was a picture which, initially, I found challenging to contemplate. However, with my previous knowledge of today's popular science as my background canvas, the new picture I constructed from the credible work of many honourable, but for some strange reason, relatively unknown scientists and researchers, was one that I just had to provide for others an opportunity to learn about, in order for them to draw their own conclusions. What this picture had revealed was that, flawed scientific theories are at the heart of current research into astronomy and the physics of our universe, and that these so-called "pillars of truth" have (mis)guided a great deal of expensive research for quite a substantial amount of time. And that further to this, over the same period of time and in parallel with it, alternative theories have existed that are far more likely to be correct, due to them being based on already proven science, common sense, and logic. To summarise what this comes down to: our universe seems not to work primarily on gravity, as we currently percieve that "force" to be and have been led to believe by mainstream astro-science, but instead, it appears that the dominant force throughout our universe is an electric one, or more precisely, the electromagnetic force (EM). The ramifications of this are very wide, very deep, and very important indeed.

The book I have written and now freely present to the world, "A Beginner's View of Our Electric Universe", starts off with my personal discovery of the Electric Model of the Universe. It then goes on without recourse to mathematics or difficult language to explain the background to the EMU and to introduce the credible and robust theories that form the foundations of that model. I then compare that firm base to the often incompatible and otherwise problem-ridden theories which, through their astonishingly unquestioned and continued acceptance, remain to prop up the SMU we have today. The book then goes on to cover some basic theory for any reader who may find this useful, before introducing a few of the historically important scientists and researchers who have been involved in establishing and developing the EMU's underpinning theories, and also a few of the people who are working to promote and develop the electric model today. The latter part of the book then goes on to provide easy to understand explanations for the theories upon which the EMU is built, these being presented in a way that shows where and how those theories fit in terms of what we observe in space today. I then finish the book with a few thoughts of my own.

My book is not aimed willy-nilly at the public in general. It is aimed instead at open-minded people who are interested in astro-science; perhaps those who can identify with one of these three areas ...

  • The naturally curious who know very little about the workings of space, but who are interested to learn.

  • Those who do know something of the workings of space, but who are a bit suspicious of the information that comes to the public from mainstream astro-science and through all forms of media, regarding how our universe appears to work.

  • Those who are actively searching for a better model because they are already aware that the gravity-based Standard Model of the Universe, just does not work.

The bottom line is that, it does not matter how you found your way to this website; what does matter is what you do next. I therefore thank you for coming by whatever route and warmly invite you at no cost to download my book, read it, and think for yourself about the information it offers.

We should not surrender our judgement to others;
we must reclaim our ability to doubt and think for ourselves.
